The Royal Wedding was the most iconic event of 2018. The day started off by welcoming guests from far and wide, with a few star-studded faces noticed, such as likes of Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, Tom Hardy, Serena Williams and David and Victoria Beckham – just to name a few.
The wedding was not like any traditional wedding, and was an ode to the modern day world, with songs such as Stand By Me performed by The Kingdom Choir, and a powerful, yet perfect address by Reverend Michael Curry, which talked about how love joins the world together, by quoting Martin Luther King Jr: “We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love and when we do that we will make of this old world a new world.”
Prince Harry arrived with his best man, Prince William, wearing frock coat uniform and the bride-to-be, Meghan Markle, wore a traditional, elegant white wedding dress, by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. Markle was also wearing Queen Mary’s diamond tiara, and a bracelet by Cartier that twinkled in the light, giving a magical look for a magical wedding.
The couple looked absolutely stunning as they stood before their friends, family and the entire world, and pronounced their vows to each other in the historic Windsor Castle.
After they said their vows, and exchanged rings, the newlyweds walked down the aisle out to the huge crowds awaiting them. They shared their first kiss as a married couple, and rode off on horse and carriage, waving to the mass crowds, in true royalty style.
