Federal Judge Outlaws Donald Trump Blocking People on Twitter

Look, the president has made it no secret he’s a big sensitive baby who is at his weakest when he is criticized. He refuses to attend the White House Correspondents dinner out of fear of getting his very easily hurt feelings hurt. Heck, wasn’t it a joke at one of those things that made him run for president in the first place? So the myth goes! Anyhow, of course, this sensitivity extended to Twitter where Donald Trump became a block-happy fool, blocking folks left and right until someone wondered “Hey, is it… constitutional for the president to uh… to block… uh… people?”, and a recent judge ruled — NOPE!

A civil liberties group sued Donald Trump on behalf of fifteen individuals on the grounds of suppression of free speech, and it seems that Judge Naomi Reiche Buchwald in a New York court agreed with them, saying: “We hold that the speech in which they seek to engage is protected by the First Amendment and that the President and Scavino exert governmental control over certain aspects of the @realDonaldTrump account, including the interactive space of the tweets sent from the account. The viewpoint-based exclusion of the individual plaintiffs from that designated public forum is proscribed by the First Amendment and cannot be justified by the President’s personal First Amendment interests.”

So how do the people of Twitter feel about such things? Trump blocked veterans organizations, comedians, Stephen King and Chrissy Teigen after all. The guy wasn’t shy! Let’s see… what the people have to say.
