Tiny Desk is an NPR feature in which “intimate video performances” are “recorded live at the desk of All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen.” But what happens when that desk is in limbo, between one location and the next? Such a scenario would require the talent of a band accomplished in the art of stop motion and visual storytelling.
We needed to figure out the best possible way to move NPR Music’s Tiny Desk from our old headquarters to our new facility just north of the U.S. Capitol. So we had OK Go perform “All Is Not Lost” hundreds of times, as we transported the Tiny Desk from one home to the other.
