Music sensation Megan Nicole stops by the What’s Trending studio to perform a special acoustic rendition of her new single, “Summer Forever,” and chat with Shira Lazar and Ethan Newberry about her new album and even show off her Chewbacca impression.
“Ironically enough, we wrote it back in December,” she says of the inspiration for the song. “We were just kind of wrapping up the album and I just really wanted something that was a fun, feel good-song. And what better way to translate that than the summertime?”
And, for Megan, the lyrics aren’t just about the warmest season of the year. “It’s more about not wanting to summer to end because you’re worried that summer love is going to end,” she says. “You can still be together even after the summer’s over.”
Megan also takes fan questions from her loyal Meganizers about her favorite Disney princess (Ariel, by the way), taking voice lessons, and her favorite country.
Speaking of different countries, while fans are yearning to know if the songstress will be coming to their hometowns, Megan can only tease: “There are some things in the works.”
For now, she’s ready to enjoy the summer. Her big plans? “Get out on the road and perform!”
