Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Julian Assange in the upcoming dramatic thriller, “The Fifth Estate,” based on the real-life events surrounding the controversial rise of WikiLeaks.
Director Bill Condon sets out to reveal what really happened behind the scenes of Assange’s efforts to disclose the secrets and corrupt acts of those in power, which resulted in one of the most volatile political events in the history of the Internet.
“The Fifth Estate” is set to hit theaters October 11, 2013.
