David O. Russell appeared on “Good Morning America” today to debut the trailer for his newest projected Oscars contender, “American Hustle.” The film’s A-list cast is comprised of collaborators from Russell’s previous movies, including “The Fighter” headliners Christian Bale and Amy Adams, along with “Silver Linings Playbook” stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert De Niro.

“American Hustle” follows the mobsters and con artists involved in the ABSCAM sting operations of the ’70s and ’80s. The film opens everywhere Christmas Day.
