  • After last year’s first-ever digital social telethon, What’s Trending is thrilled to be teaming up with Ford’s Fiesta Movement for the Second Annual Tube-A-Thon! It’s a live-streamed holiday party featuring huge YouTube stars as well as traditional Hollywood celebrities.

Though this night’s all about entertainment and having fun, the What’s Trending Team think it’s important to bring together the YouTube community we love to do something positive the less fortunate. And we can’t think of a better non-profit to get behind than our partners from last year’s event, Covenant House.

On Thursday, December 12 at 6pmPT/9pm ET, tune into What’s Trending for two full hours of fundraising, music, comedy, performances and lots of surprises from your favorite online stars. Tweet along with the hashtag #Tubeathon or #FiestaMovement, and for every tweet What’s Trending and Fiesta Movement will donate $1 to Covenant House.

Highlights of the 2012 show included the Epic Meal Time gang uniting with Doug Benson to build our gingerbread house, a holiday medley from Pentatonix, egg nog making with DailyGrace and Hannah Hart, the magic of Justin Willman and a hilarious Shaytards gift exchange. The show itself was the #3 Twitter trend in the U.S., and raised thousands of dollars for Covenant House. And this year is only going to be bigger and better, with tons more guests, a bigger venue at YouTube Space LA and more excitement!

Just some of the stars we’ll be hanging out with include Far East Movement, Eric Andre, Travis Garland, Shay Carl, Chester See, Freddie Wong, Toby Turner, Daily Grace, Mystery Guitar Man, Vitaly, Tyler Ward, and Bart Baker. Plus, we’ll be streaming all night with talent from hit YouTube channels such as Geek And Sundry, WIGS, Dance On, Nerdist, Soul Pancake, Sourcefed, Rooster Teeth, and many more!
