  • It’s not yet 2015, but you can travel “Back to the Future” and your hands on a pair of Michael J. Fox’s — err Marty McFly’s — Nike MAGs, the famous self-lacing shoes from “Back to the Future II.”

Fifteen hundred pairs of these shoes are going to be put on Ebay for the next ten days, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. You can expect that shoe collectors are willing to pay a pretty hefty mint for these items, so unless you are willing to shell out the dough (or have an extremely rare shoe size), you’ll probably have to go shoeless. Right now, one of them is going as high as $9000 — and it’s only the first day of the auction. But, for shoes that lace themselves, it’s well worth every cent.

In case you need your memory refreshed about the shoes, here’s the official commercial for them.

  • Director Frank Marshall hinted at the announcement on his Twitter.

  • Will you try to bid your way for a pair of these kicks? Or, are you saving your money for when hoverboards are created?
