Dallas Cowboy fans watched in horror last night while quarterback Tony Romo squandered any hope for victory against the New York Jets with not one, but two late-game turnovers. To rub more salt in the wound, ESPN analyst Merril Hoge admitted this wasn’t a first time occurrence and proclaimed, “In critical moments and critical games has failed to execute. He’s made poor decisions…. Tony Romo in critical moments and big time moments has failed.” Ouch.
But, it’s not just ESPN critics that Romo has to answer to. #QuarterbacksbetterthanTonyRomo is trending on Twitter as fans display their disgust for his poor performance last night. Everyone is being named a better player than Romo, including 80-something-year-old grandmothers and iconic actors who played football quarterbacks.

The harshest insult might be fans comparing Romo’s fourth quarter flubs to the NBA’s most hated player LeBron James.
