  • First, Carson Palmer of the Cincinnati Bengals has been traded to the Oakland Raiders. Not that surprising considering that Palmer had already expressed that he wanted out of Cincy. What’s noteworthy is what Oakland gave up to get the 31-year-old QB; a first-round and a second-round draft pick. Palmer is expected to start in next week’s game.

The other big trade before the deadline was the Philadelphia Eagles trading running back Ronnie Brown to the Detroit Lions in exchange for running back Jerome Harrison (and a 2013 draft pick). Brown was a big-name, off season acquisition for Philly, but has not performed to nearly the level they hoped. Their solution was to trade him and get back Harrison who the Eagles had just let go last year.

Here’s what some of you have been saying about the trades.
