Lana Del Rey’s ‘Blue Jeans’ Video Leaks, London Web Summit Begins: While You Were Sleeping

  • While you were sleeping, stories were trending. Lana Del Rey’s official “Blue Jeans” video leaked on Twitter, the London Web Summit kicked off to a healthy start, Frozen Planet debuted in HDTV, and a gunman opens fire at a Jewish school in France.

    The official video for Lana Del Rey‘s third single, “Blue Jeans,” has leaked through Twitvid and is now making the Internet rounds. Word around the Blue Jeans Twitter tag is that the video is gorgeous. This follows the release of the controversial cover art for the single earlier this week. Though the indie singer canceled her tour after an underwhelming performance on Saturday Night Live, she is slated to appear in the upcoming results show of American Idol on Thursday, march 22.


  • The London Web Summit kicked off this morning at The Brewery Venue in London’s East End, which is known to hold the largest collection of tech startups in London. The summit packs 50 speakers, 20 startup demos, and 1,000 attendees into one day. Featured speakers include Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom, Google’s Chief Business Officer Nikesh Arora, Lars Hinrichs (HackFWD), Jason Goldberg (Fab.com), Ben Parr (formerly of Mashable), and many more.     The documentary mini-series, Frozen Planet, premiered to rave reviews last night on Discovery Channel. Co-produced by BBC, the seven beautiful episodes tug at our heart strings by showing us the grandiosity of nature, the comedy inherent in penguins’ interactions, polar bear romance, and life-or-death situations, all captured on film in the wild.

  • This morning in Toulouse, France, a motorcycle gunman opened fire in front of a Jewish school, killing four victims, including three children, and injuring more. This is apparently the third gun attack in to occur in France this week by a man who fled on a motorbike. The tragic story is being still being updated, with the attacker yet to be found.
