  • The bear fell safely on a set of black mats after being tranquilized by wildlife officials. A CU Police Department spokesperson estimated the bear’s age to be between one and three years old, weighing between 150 and 200 pounds. No one was hurt, and officials are planning to relocate the bear.

The photo was published by the CU Independent, the campus newspaper at CU. Since being posted earlier on Thursday on the newspaper’s Facebook page, the story and photo has garnered more than 2,000 likes and 1,300-plus shares.
