  • Hailing from South Carolina, singer/songwriter Noah gained viral attention online after he covered LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know it” (now with over 10 million hits) on his YouTube channel, where he uploads a new song every week.

Noah says that when deciding which songs to cover, he likes to go by what’s current most weeks, in which case he’ll find a way to put a new spin on it, but sometimes it’s just something he really likes. He’s well-versed in music considering he was born into it. “I always say, ‘I was playing with Hot Wheels on the studio floor,'” referring to the fact that his dad and stepmom were session singers.

Noah was first recognized via YouTube after he put up a unique cover of U2’s “Where The Streets Have No Name” and then Ellen DeGeneres put it on her show’s website, significantly boosting traffic. And he admits that going on the Today show still feels like huge deal because it’s something he’s wanted to do since he was 6 years old.

So, now that he’s received such acclaim, what’s next? “I’m finishing up my first debut album, which will hopefully be out in the next couple of months and then maybe go on the road for a while,” he says.

Noah then showed off those golden pipes and treated us to a performance of his original song, “Time.”
