    In theaters this weekend, it wasn’t looking too good for Lionsgate as the fourth Step Up film proved unable to hold its own against the resilience of The Dark Knight Rises. Meanwhile, Vince Vaughn’s comedy, The Watch, ranked third in the box office earnings, with Ice Age: The Continental Drift holdings strong in the second slot.

    The newest summer flicks to attempt to take on the Batman franchise this weekend include the Andy Samberg/Rashida Jones rom-com, Celeste and Jesse Forever, the newest Diary of a Wimpy Kid film, and the Total Recall sci-fi reboot. Does Colin Farrell have what it takes to defeat The Dark Knight?
