  • Google.com is bringing the 2012 Olympics to its homepage with some interactive doodles.

On Tuesday, Google unveiled its track and field hurdling doodle, inviting players to use their keyboards to make an animated hurdler run and jump for a chance to win a medal. And once you’re happy with your result, you can share your score with your circles on Google+.

Tomorrow, Google will also be breaking out its Basketball Google Doodle, encouraging Google searchers to use their spacebars and try to shoot as many baskets as they can in 24 seconds.

Okay, so it doesn’t require physical exertion of Olympic capacity, but it’s a fun and engaging way to stay in the game — and, of course, to keep searching with Google.
