Global YouTube Stars Hangout, ft. Michael Gregory, Olga Kay, Bubz Beauty, and More!

Shira Lazar of What’s Trending and YouTube News man The Will of DC host a global Google+ hangout featuring YouTub stars from around the world, including Olga Kay, Michael Gregory, Bubbi from Bubz Beauty, and Jose Romero of Lindo Victoria Fracaso.

Olga Kay, the First Lady of Moosh herself, chats about her experience in the YouTube biz and recently launched beauty/fashion channel, MooshVille!

Michael Gregory of The Gregory Brothers, known for many viral remixes such as Antoine Dodson’s “Bed Intruder” and the recent “Oh My Dayum” auto-tune says of the pressure to create a huge hit, “I think if you put that pressure on yourself, then you’re not doing yourself a service creatively. You should just do whatever drives you and then you’ll make a better video.”

Peruvian YouTuber Jose Romero, one of the only breakout YouTube stars in his country, says that seeing a video going viral was a major milestone in his online video career. “YouTube gives a video of the world to anyone.”

Bubbi of Bubz Beauty points out how YouTube hasn’t yet blown up in Hong Kong as much as it has in the States and how she continues to engage with her fans through Twitter, Facebook, and even participating in music videos.

In the U.S. there’s a lot of talk about the inevitable convergence of Hollywood and YouTube, but our global guests join in to give their takes on the future of the online entertainment takeover.

Jose, a.k.a. Mox, sums it up pretty well: “I don’t know where it’s going to go, but I know it’s the future.”
