  • YouTube’s over-indulgent cooking phenomenon, “Epic Meal Time,” led by Sauce Boss Harley Morenstein, is launching a brand new series that channels the culinary creative in all of us.

Yes, the gut-busting crew responsible for the Turbaconepicentipede and Breakfast of Booze are taking on the “Top Chef” and “Hell’s Kitchen” genre for the digital age with their own “Epic Chef” competition show.

Two chefs battle it out in a 45-minute, themed challenge (from “Epic Burger” and “Epic Mexican” to “Epic Holidays”), armed with a box of mystery ingredients and access to the “Epic” pantry. Additional points are awarded to chefs who can concoct special sauces from alcoholic beverages or energy drinks.

Look out for notable competing chefs like Ilan Hall (Top Chef Season 2 Winner) and popular online cooking personalities like the Casserole Queens (Sandy Pollock and Crystal Cook). The all-star judging panel will also include many familiar faces, such as Adam Gertler (Next Food Network Star) and Duff Goldman (Ace of Cakes), along with YouTube celebrities Freddie Wong, iJustine and MysteryGuitarMan!

“Epic Chef” launched its first episode, “Breakfast Challenget,” on December 14, with new episodes hitting YouTube every Friday.
