Watch the Mythbusters Implode a Tanker Car in Slow Motion

Sadly, “Mythbusters” is coming to an end – so Adam and Jamie are taking every opportunity to demolish stuff in awesome ways.

One of their latest experiments was taking on the myth of a huge tanker car that imploded after it was steam cleaned. The tank was sealed up after being filled with steam, which then cooled and turned back into water, causing the air pressure outside the tank to be much higher than the air pressure inside. The result: a tanker that squished itself like a soda can.

In the full episode, it took them several tries to recreate that destructive moment, but they finally got the satisfying loud crunch they were after.
