Carly Rae Jepsen’s Japanese Shampoo Commercial Is Amazing
Carly Rae Jepsen flies under a lot of people’s radar with her “bubblegum pop,” despite her latest album being widely praised and her concerts often being sold out. But if you’re not paying attention to her, it’s really your loss — and one it’s not too late to rectify.
And if you want to start paying attention, you might as well start with her just released Japanese commercial for the shampoo Moist Diane. In it, Jepsen wanders through the outside of an airport before pulling a forlorn-looking girl off a shuttle and dragging her back into the airport to confess her love (presumably) to the boy she just left behind. It sounds a little been there-done that, BUT we also get a giant crowd doing a choreographed dance to one of Jepsen’s singles, in true musical style.
I hope one day Carly Rae can get as awesome brand deals in Canada or America as she clearly is pulling in Japan, but in the meantime, more of these, please.
