  • The Feathered Angels Sanctuary uploaded this video of Buttercup the duck’s celebratory walk with his newly printed 3D foot.

According to The Verge, when Buttercup was hatched at a Texas high school with his left foot turned backwards, the school handed him over to the Mike Garey’s care at the sanctuary. With help from NovaPrint, Garey was able to print a silicon 3D foot for Buttercup by using sister duck Minnie’s foot as a model.

The uploader writes, “I completed the prosthetic foot. It is removed from the mold and placed on Buttercup for the first time. He goes outside and immediately walks normally! It does not bother him at all!”
