While reporting on the tragic crash landing of Asiana flight 214 at San Francisco International Airport, KTVU Channel 2 News released bogus names for the pilots, including “Sum Ting Wong,” “Wi Tu Lo,” “Ho Lee Fuk,” and “Bang Ding Ow.”
The saddest (but also most hilarious) part? And intern at the National Transportation Safety Board actually confirmed these names! The NTSB, of course, released a statement of apology after news viewers caught on to the prank.
