Millennium Films has released the first official trailer of Lee Daniels’ (Precious) new Southern crime film, The Paperboy, starring Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, David Oyelowo, and John Cusack.
After the film premiered in Cannes this summer, it received mixed feedback but mostly generated a lot of buzz for containing a scene in which Nicole Kidman pees on Zac Efron. You know, just the usual stuff.
The story is adapted from Peter Dexter’s novel of the same name, which follows a Miami reporter who returns to his hometown and enlists the help of his younger brother in order to investigate the murder of a local sheriff and bring justice to the wrongful conviction of a man on death row.
The Paperboy will have a limited release in theaters starting October 5.
