YouTube channel zeljkoanicic uploaded the above video of a recently found, 550 lb. bomb being detonated by a German authorities in Munich.
Following local media reports, the YouTuber wrote in the caption that the controlled event prompted the evacuation of roughly 2,500 Munich residents. Sparks from the explosion even caused some nearby rooftops to catch fire.
The bomb, which was reported to have been dropped by the U.S. during World War II, was deemed impossible to diffuse due to an unusual chemical makeup, so it had to be detonated in the safest way possible.
