The English Language Doesn’t Make Any Sense!

The YouTube channel asapTHOUGHT posted a video explaining why the English language is a little bit absurd. This video pulls from the The English Lesson” by Richard Krogh and the book “Crazy English” by Richard Lederer to ask why our language is so complicated.

This is one of those videos that made me go “oh, I’ve never thought about that,” and left me wondering why? If we call many brothers a brethren, why can’t we call many mothers a metheren?
