  • Legendary folk singer, Pete Seeger, died of natural causes early last night at the age of 94.

Seeger was known for such hits as “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” , “If I Had a Hammer (The Hammer Song)”, and “Turn! Turn! Turn!” He was an inspiration for many fellow musicians, and was a well known activist for communism and environmentalism. Seeger, and many other folk singers wrote and performed the song, “We Shall Overcome,” which became the anthem of Civil Rights Movement in the 1960’s.

Pete Seeger will never be forgotten; his songs will live on even though he’s gone.

    Rest in peace, comrade.
