How do you write about a video that is pure mood, pure energy, and pure… one of the funniest, strangest things I’ve seen on the internet for a while. People with parents know, I am sure, that the universe of children’s YouTube videos is a messed up and surreal place filled with “Johny Johny Yes Papa” and untold videos of like– pregnant Elsa getting an infection or whatever the hell and untold army of freaks is decided is an appropriate thing to put into the eyes of the children around them. And now enters this beautiful act of strangeness that’s been passing through the universe, I mean, mere words would only ruin the incredible effects of the video above which look– it begins with a bunch of multi colored chickens, but the directions it goes into… oh baby!
It would be worth it, I think, to truly chronicle where these types of children’s videos come from. “Johny Johny Yes Papa” was a surreal enough video that was created abroad, but then the disappearance of any and all traces of the video from YouTube raised some troubling questions, including “buh”, “guh”, “why” and “bluh”. But I’ll give the video this — you watch this thing once, and I defy you to forget how to say crocodile in Spanish, the thing this video purportedly teaches you to do. Good work all.
I mean, this is the kind of daring weirdness you’d see on Invader Zim or something, except that cartoon wouldn’t know how to sit still long enough to deliver this straight weirdness to you. Know, the lack of movement, the subtelty, the jazzy music. I wouldn’t trust a single creator on this filthy planet to make this masterpiece on purpose. No, this is pure midnight movie madness, and you are simply strapped into a chair and forced to witness this reality.
