People in Paris were delayed on their commute to work this morning when a lady began to give birth on the train! The RER line is the busiest line in Paris, especially on the morning commute to work, but the baby didn’t want to be late for his first shift and decided that the time to enter the world was on the 8am train into the city.

Although some people have called this news ‘lovely’ and ‘heart-warming’, others who have experienced the magic of birth have mentioned how it sounds like a not very nice way to give birth. Surrounded by many people, all squished up into every crevice of the train, all hot and sweaty, and then… your waters break. I’m not too sure what the miracle of birth is meant to be like, but I can imagine pushing as hard as you can as a screaming child is pushed out of your lady area isn’t the nicest thing in the world, and especially on a dirty train.

Although the mother might not be feeling so great, a spokesperson for the company announced that the baby has got a free pass to train rides until he is 25! Now, that is definitely something to scream and shout about, unless the baby is hungry, or needs his diaper changed, or maybe… there’s just too many reasons for babies to cry.

We have to admit, we’re very jealous of the baby, and it seems like we’re not the only ones, as people on Twitter have admitted what a great start in the life this little one has!

Perhaps on his morning commute to work when he’s older, he’ll reminisce about the corner of the RER train carriage where he first entered the world. Such beautiful memories.
