It’s #FuzzyFriday and we could use a laugh, so here’s a classic video of a news anchor losing it on live TV over a pig’s name, now trending on Reddit.
WPSD reporter Robert Bradfield was doing a story about Chris P. Bacon, a celebrity pig that was born without hind legs and was fitted with a wheeled harness so it could get around – just your standard feel-good news report. But apparently Bradfield wasn’t prepared for the pig’s name when it scrolled across the teleprompter, because he started laughing so hard he could barely breathe.
“You have to read this story,” he said to someone offscreen, wheezing with laughter. “We cannot… Oh my god.”
In case you’re worried that the pig actually ended up as crispy bacon, he’s alive and well and has his own website, www.chrispbacon.org, where you can buy tee shirts and a children’s book. An animated movie called “Chris P. Bacon Saves Christmas,” funded by Indiegogo, is currently in production.
