Reporting the news on television is a risky business. At any moment you could find yourself accidentally swearing, cracking up, making some comical blunder like “Of course LeBron bringing a lot of sex— success to Cleveland,” fighting off insects, misbehaving animals or random weirdos wandering on camera, or getting caught brushing your hair because you didn’t know you were live.

Embarrassing for reporters, but awesome for viewers, who live for this kind of thing.

This past year has had some great news bloopers, everything from quirky local newscasts to mainstream cable news, and the best ones have been compiled in this handy 15-minute video. Classic moments include the “Fox and Friends” guest who accidentally threw an axe into a military drummer, the woman who made a little boy cry on his first day of school, the HLN reporter who didn’t realize her guest was talking about Edward Scissorhands instead of Edward Snowden, and the news anchor who went down in history for storming off set yelling “Nobody cares about the Kardashians!” after one too many Kardashian stories.
