Harry Styles has officially surprised fans with a brand new music video for his track “Golden” off of Fine Line.

“Golden” is the fifth single from Styles’ sophomore album. The music video, which is beyond aesthetically pleasing, features the “Watermelon Sugar” singing, dancing and driving around the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Ever since paparazzi photos of the singer filming in Italy were released, fans have been eagerly waiting for this visual to be released. When chatting with AP Entertainment, Styles said: “It’s one of the first songs when I was making the album and it’s always been a source of joy for me.”

The music video for “Golden” is full of positive energy and sunshine, which the 26-year-old singer hopes will make his fans happy.

“And I wanted to make a video that encapsulated that. I’d like to think it will maybe cheer a couple of people up. Cheered me up,” he continued.

This track follows the success of singles “Adore You,” “Watermelon Sugar” and “Falling.” “Watermelon Sugar” is marked Harry’s first #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

The scenic visual for “Golden” dropped today and currently has over 9 million views in less than 10 hours. A photo teaser was shared with fans this past Friday and anticipation has only continued to grow as the weekend progressed.

Styles rocks a Gucci blue blazer and greets strangers on the street with a contagious smile. Most likely filmed during golden hour, there are a few outfit changes in the music video. Five to be exact.

The fashion included in this video is completely on brand for Harry Styles. As he is, in fact, a Gucci ambassador, the blue suit was not surprising for fans. However, Styles dressed down a lot more than he did in his video for “Falling.” He wore a white linen button down shirt and athletic shorts to run. In another scene, he sports white gloves and a sports jacket. There were a variety of necklaces worn in the video by the singer as well.

Directed by Ben and Gabe Turner, founders of London-based production company Fulwell 73, the video consists of Styles having a great time in Italy and radiating sunshine from start to finish. The production company and dynamic duo have worked on countless projects with Styles, including a plethora of One Direction videos.

Viewers watch Styles run through a tunnel and up a cliffside. There is also, of course, underwater footage.

Within thirty minutes of the video being released, #Golden became the top trend on Twitter in the United States. Fans have posted videos and countless tweets of their reactions to this new visual.

Many were excited to receive new content from Styles almost a year after the release of Fine Line. Others are recognizing that this will most likely be his final single and that new content/a new era will be coming soon.

“Golden” is already certified Gold by the RIAA. “Watermelon Sugar” and “Adore You” have hit #1 on the Top 40 and HOT AC radio charts in the United States. Those singles are certified multi-platinum.

Styles’ 2020 ‘Love On Tour’ was postponed due to the global pandemic. Fans are, in fact, looking forward to the postponed dates which will hopefully take place in 2021.

On the note of touring, Harry said: “There will be a time we dance again, but until then I think it’s about protecting each other and doing everything we can to be safe.”

“I think everybody understands – it’s not like there’s anything you can do about it. I think the most important thing right now is to keep everybody safe. I think, honestly, it’s obviously disappointing, but it’s not even close to being the most important thing right now,” He explained.

“Golden,” the fifth single from Styles’ album Fine Line, begins impacting radio today.
