  • Amanda Berry was 16 when she disappeared in Cleveland 10 years ago. On May 6, 2013, she grasped the opportunity to shout out the window of the house in which she was held captive and get the attention of the neighbors. Charles Ramsey and Angel Cordero managed to break down the door and free Berry.

Ramsey not only rose to become an American hero and Internet sensation thanks to this animated interview with WEWSTV.

He revealed that he’s been a neighbor to the captors for a year and never suspected that anyone was staying in the house against her will. “There’s nothing exciting about him…well, until today,” he says of the neighbor. “I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms […] Dead give away! Either she’s homeless, or she got problems.”

Three brothers were arrested for the capture of Berry, Michelle Knight, Gina DeJesus, and a 6-year-old child, who were all rescued from the home.

Now, we’re just waiting for The Gregory Brothers to get on an auto-tuned remix of this.
