VIDEO: Chris Evans Posts Video of First Time Meeting His Rescue Dog

Chris Evans, the actor best known for portraying Marvel’s Captain America, has proven time and time again just how appropriate it is for him to fill those boots. In a video that he’s posted to Twitter, Evans documents the first time he met his beautiful rescue dog, Dodger, at the shelter. We see Evans approach the gate as Dodger finds it nearly impossible to hold back his excitement. as it just wants to run up and to lick his hand. Chris Evans writes in his tweet —

This is the moment we met. He was trying so hard to stay seated even though he desperately wanted to get out. I knew right away that he was coming home with me, so I took this video to always remember our first hello. Rescue dogs are the best dogs!! #NationalPetDay
