In a recent KUWTK YouTube video, Kylie walks Kris Jenner through her famous lip technique that blew up before Kylie revealed her temporary lip fillers.

Let’s throw it back to 2014.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West tied the knot in Italy, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds announced their first pregnancy with baby James and Kylie Jenner’s lips became the center of controversy.

Jenner’s lips went from thin in the start of the year to pouty and full by mid-2014. The then 17-year-old was accused of lip fillers. Before admitting in 2015 to “temporary lip fillers,” the reality show star was adamant that her lip effect was due to her knowledge of over lining her lips.

“I thought today would be the perfect day to teach Kris Jenner how to do the Kylie Jenner lip,” Kylie said in the video.

“It’s about time!” Kris laughed. “I’m so used to you doing it for me and now it’s time for you to teach me how to do it by myself.”

Kylie uses her very own Kylie Cosmetics lip kit in the short clip. Kylie Cosmetics grew to fame in November of 2015. Now, the company is an empire and considered one of the fastest growing beauty brands in the world.

Dawned in glitter dresses, the two decide what color to use, nude or red, and Kylie begins to over-, line.

“You just follow your natural lip line and go way over.” Kylie explains. “And then I’m just going to apply the matte lip right over the lip liner.” Yes, it really is as straightforward as you thought.

While applying the lip combo, the Jenner ladies discuss the names of Kylie’s products.

Kris asks her daughter, “How long does it take for you to typically think of the names for all of your products?”

Kylie then reveals the process of starting with a theme and rolling with it
