The 17-year-old toured with Justin Bieber, sang the national anthem for the Mayweather versus Ortiz fight and has over 800,000 followers on Twitter listening to her every word.
“I’m really close to (my fans), and they come and ask me for advice and they tweet me and stuff like that. That’s kind of how the song just a friend came into concept. All my fans and my friends would come up to me and be like, ‘Listen, I’m going through this problem, so can you help me out.’ And I kind of take their situations, and I turn it into a song,” Jasmine V explained.
Life on the road for the teen was hard, but since she loves her “job” she can’t complain.
“At times it can be really stressful being away from your family and everything like that, but you just need that mental support of them always being there,” she explained, “And, it’s fun. It doesn’t have to be a job at the end of the day. It has to be something you want to do and you have fun.”
Jasmine V, then did what she does best and rocked the What’s Trending studio with her new single Just A Friend.
