  • Is Pokémon Go still a thing?

When the game was first released everyone was going crazy over it. You really could not go anywhere without people pointing their phones at you only to find out there was a Charizard on your shoulder.

Personally, I feel as though the Pokémon Go buzz has calmed down since its summer release, but we shouldn’t expect it to completely go away anytime soon. The game has inspired parodies, pranks, and most recently, a music video.

Maroon 5 just debuted the music video for their latest single, Don’t Wanna Know (featuring Kendrick Lamar), and it features a cute (and odd) Pokémon Go inspired love story.

The video opens with Adam Levine dressed as, what looks like, a giant-blue-fly-turtle-thing.

Disclaimer: I am not well-versed in the art of Pokémon Go, so I’m just going to apologize right now to anyone that might get their little Pokémon hearts broken (or offended) by me.

Anyways, we come to find out that Adam is heartbroken. He’s in love with another creature-thing (played by Sarah Silverman) and tries to capture her heart back while groups of annoying kids are trying to capture him.

    What a tragic love story.

Sad and alone, Adam tries to rid of his heartbreak with drugs, alcohol, and groupie love (like any other superstar Pokémon would do), but nonetheless his cycle of hangovers, green juices, and yoga continues until he’s drowning his sorrows in alcohol again.

One last thing – did you catch all of the celebrity cameos? I hate to spoil it, but if you look closely you can see appearances from Ed Helms (The Hangover) and Vince Vaughn (he’s been in too many movies for me to think of an example).
