  • Hamilton is the musical that everyone around the world is talking about. Created by Lin-Manuel Miranda (who had a great October), the musical is a re-invention of the form, utilizing hip-hop and rap.

Now, Hamilton is getting a makeover, courtesy of some legendary artists. That includes some rappers who inspired the work, like Common and Busta Rhymes.

The first two singles from the album, which drops December 2nd, show what’s in store. Kelly Clarkson dominates “It’s Quiet Uptown”, above. Her voice captures the emotion that the character Eliza Schuyler feels in it.

The second, featuring Busta Rhymes, Nate Ruess, Joell Ortiz, and the Roots (who recorded the recording of Hamilton with Lin-Manuel and the cast), is “Rise Up”. It’s straight bone-chilling. The room around you drops like 10 degrees when listening to it. Here it is:

  • According to The Atlantic, there’s a lot more to come. That includes songs from Common, Queen Latifah, Sia, Usher, and more.
