  • The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly secured the rights to Brooklyn Nets head coach and former NBA star, Jason Kidd. It had previously been rumored that Kidd, who just finished his first season as a head coach, felt he deserved more authority within the Nets front office after turning the team around from a dismal 10-21 start, to turning the season around and winning their opening round playoff series against the Toronto Raptors.

Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov as well as others who serve in upper management positions apparently didn’t agree with Kidd’s appeal for promotion. It seems that his power move backfired and the Nets weren’t hesitant to watch him leave after just one season in Brooklyn.

After two days of deliberations between the teams, the Bucks have decided to send two future second-round draft picks to the Nets as compensation for the rights to Kidd. The deal also relieves the Nets of the remaining three years of Kidds four year, $10.5 million contract.

His master plan didn’t work so well in Brooklyn, so let’s see if the Bucks give him the front office power he feels he deserves.
