After her 12-year run as Fox Sports #1 Sideline Reporter, the gig is up for Pam Oliver.

Erin Andrews will be replacing Oliver as Fox’s #1 Sideline Reporter after this season is over, according to the New York Post.

Many are calling FOX out for either being racist, or discriminating against the 53-year-old’s age, but that does not seem to be the case. Oliver signed a new contract with FOX to work on long-form pieces, TV specials and continue on with Showtime’s 60 Minutes Sports.

“To go from the lead crew to no crew was a little shocking,” Oliver told Sports Illustrated. “I said I wanted to do a 20th year [on the sidelines]. I expressed to them that I was not done and had something to offer. Again, I think it was predetermined coming in. Not at that meeting, but two years ago it was determined that no matter what I did or did not do, a change would be made for this year.”

Last week, Oliver signed a new multi-year contract for Fox Sports, where she will be doing long-form pieces, specials, major interviews as well as some producing.

Fans will continue to see her on air this season, and will be able to look forward to seeing Erin Andrews for years to come.
