Brooklyn ‘Hood’ Pranksters Warned To Quit What Theyre Doing — Before They Get Killed
Two Bay Ridge, Brooklyn brothers are making headlines recently after their “Pranks in the Hood” videos have gone viral.
Not only have they gained a significant following on YouTube and other social media platforms, now they’ve gotten the attention of community activists who say that their pranks primarily target African-Americans in high crime communities — and that the pranks have got to stop before someone gets killed, according to the Village Voice.
“Et” and “Moe” Etayyim’s pranks posted on their their Ock TV YouTube channel include sitting on random peoples’ laps on the subway, grabbing unsuspecting pedestrians’ phones to check the time, walking around with a calculator and asking passersby if he or she’s “got a problem,” asking people for directions and responding with “don’t tell me what to do!” Even walking behind the counter of restaurants, yelling and claiming to be the boss’ son.
The brothers have gotten body slammed, choked out and beaten up in response to their buffoonery — and now they’re being warned that they should put a halt to their antics before the responses become more severe.
Tony Herbert, president of the National Action Network’s Brooklyn East chapter asked the Daily News, rhetorically, “How stupid are they? They are particularly targeting minority neighborhoods. Somebody is going to get hurt. They are putting their lives in jeopardy.”
“Why are all of his pranks in our neighborhood? There is nothing funny about these pranks, stay out of our neighborhood’s with your new age blaxploitation”, another viewer commented.
Funny or not, their pranks are ignorant and downright dangerous. See for yourself below.
