Today’s Featured Instagrammer: Simone Bramante, A Magician Of A Photographer

Upon seeing Simon Bramante’s Instagram grid, where he posts under the username brahmino, one can’t help but become mesmerized. With just about 2 decades worth of photography experience under his belt, Bramante both frames and captures his moments quickly. He knows that those moments are fleeting.

If you were to ask Bramante what he does, he’s sure to respond that his job is one of a “visual storyteller.” But that’s not all Bramante is. From what we gather, he’s also a light-chaser, dreamer, and perhaps even a bit of a magician (with the camera)? Oh, he also happens to be a husband and father. What a busy guy!

Seeing Bramante’s signature photos, which involve objects suspended in air against crisp blue skies, will no doubt be the highlight of your day. Perhaps even year. After all, they’re absolutely incredible. But it’s what you take away from it afterward that really gets to us here at What’s Trending. Bramante practically emphasizes on the fleeting nature that is the art of photography.

And what can one take away from that exactly? Well, for one thing, it makes you more aware of your surroundings. That spilled water, the clouds drifting, the red car speeding by…they’re all demanding to be noticed. And Bramante has done a splendid job both noticing and capturing them.

When interviewed by Instagram, Bramante’s only advice for photographers is this: “Be quick in framing the beloved cloud, because it changes shape quickly, but take all the time your heart needs to observe them.”

We think it’s the perfect sentiment.

Photography is lovely, folks and it’s always nice to hear from your followers on Instagram that you’ve captured something lovely…but you know what’s even nicer? Being the one person to have been able to witness what you’ve captured first hand. So enjoy it while it’s there. Observe it.
