With The Daily Show returning from hiatus Tuesday night, host Jon Stewart didn’t hesitate one bit to take aim at one of his prime targets: Fox News.

It’s been nothing short of a media circus that has swept the nation following the recent killing of Michael Brown, a black teenager who was unarmed when he was gunned down by a white Police Officer in Ferguson, Mo.

The incident, laden in racial overtones, has led to numerous protests, and even widespread rioting and looting in the streets, prompting deployment of the National Guard throughout Ferguson, which has at times resembled a warzone.

Fox News has been facing heavy criticism for its reporting of the case — and Stewart didn’t hold anything back when he took time to bash the news media giant for its skewed coverage of the story.

The Daily Show host ridiculed Fox News for, well… just about everything, including its purported “War on Christmas,” but primarily for the network’s notion that the incident has nothing to do with race. He also criticized Fox for avoiding the race card all together, essentially pretending that it doesn’t still plague today’s society.

“You were furious that America’s 11-month-long celebration of Christmas wasn’t enough,” Stewart said. “But now, if you can, just imagine that instead of having to suffer the indignity of a Festivus pole blocking something you could’ve just set up in your own yard anyway… imagine, that instead of that, on a pretty consistent basis, you can’t get a f**king cab even though you’re a neurosurgeon — because you’re black.”
