TMZ has released a new video from the February 15 incident where Ray Rice was caught punching his wife Janay Palmer in the elevator at the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

It has sparked a new controversy over whether the Baltimore Ravens running back should receive a greater punishment than just a two-game suspension, seeing that he has violated the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

After receiving his punishment in July, Rice commented on his suspension in a statement released on the Baltimore Raven’s website:

“It is disappointing that I will not be with my teammates for the first two games of the season, but that’s my fault. As I said earlier, I failed in many ways.

But, Janay and I have learned from this. We have become better as a couple and as parents. I am better because of everything we have experienced since that night. The counseling has helped tremendously.”
