A Hippo Has Taken Over The Chicago River

Imagine boating down the Chicago River, enjoying the breathtaking views, when all of a sudden you look off and see something completely out of the normal.

Chris O witnessed something incredibly random from a distance that probably will not happen again: a hippopotamus in the Chicago River. The video shows something lurking in the water and suddenly pops out and then disappears. The witnesses tried to find it again but the native African animal was nowhere to be found.

Despite how adorable these creatures are, hippos are known to be aggressive when they feel threatened and will attack. But in deep water they will find solitude and may remain hidden.

We can only hope that this happy hippo finds wherever it is going and isn’t harmed its way!
