Here’s What Happened In Ferguson Last Night
There were some tense hours in Ferguson, MO, after Robert McCulloch read the grand jury’s verdict not to indict Darren Wilson for the murder of Michael Brown. Protests began in the street almost immediately, and they soon turned violent.
Some accounts have the protests remaining peaceful in the street until police fire tear gas. Others say that rocks and bottles thrown at police officers triggered the escalation of violence. Over a dozen buildings and cars were set ablaze. Twenty civilians were treated at area hospitals for injury, but fortunately, no serious injuries or deaths have been reported.
However it started, it was a harrowing and stressful night. Here are some photos and reactions to last night in Ferguson and across the U.S.
