In April 2014, Billings, Montana police officer Grant Morrison shot and killed Richard Ramirez — no, not that Richard Ramirez, he died of natural causes — during a traffic stop. Ramirez was found to be high on methamphetamine, and was shot when Morrison believed him to be pulling a gun. Morrison was unarmed.

The above video, acquired by Mashable, was shown at the inquest into Morrison’s death, which resulted in the shooting being ruled a non-criminal, justifiable homicide last week.

Morrison breaks down crying on his police car. He repeats to his fellow officers that he thought Ramirez was pulling a gun, and they try to console him.
