TransAsia Airways Flight GE235 Crash Caught On Video
A small aircraft taking off from Taipei Songshan Airport in Taiwan crashed Wednesday shortly after takeoff, killing at least 23. Fifteen others were rescued from the water after the crash, which was captured on several vehicle dash cams.
The plane appears to swerve around an apartment complex before clipping a roadway overpass with a wing. The turboprop ATR 72-600 carried mostly Chinese tourists bound for the Kinmen islands.
From USA Today:
TransAsia director Peter Chen said contact with the plane was lost four minutes after takeoff. He said weather conditions were not a factor and the cause of the accident had not been determined.
