Terrifying Ride Malfunction Leaves Passengers Hanging in Midair

A freak accident at a French theme park left terrified passengers dangling from a cable on a slingshot ride, and one woman suffered a broken leg.

The ‘reverse bungee’ ride had just released and flung the car into the air when one of the two cables snapped, making the car swing wildly into one of the upright supports.

In a viral video captured by one of the bystanders, the passengers can be heard screaming as the broken ride leaves them dangling sideways in midair.

Theme park officials are blaming the accident on a “manufacturing defect” and have launched an investigation.
