  • Katherine Timpf of the National Review has Star Wars fans mad at her after she implied that they’re unattractive and lame, to the point that some fans are sending death threats – but is she going to back down and apologize? Nope.

    The offending comment in question?

“I have never had any interest in watching space nerds poke each other with their little space nerd sticks, and I’m not going to start now,” she said on Fox’s “Red Eye” show. “You people are crazy. You Star Wars people are crazy. Yesterday I tweeted something, and all I said was that I wasn’t familiar with Star Wars because I’ve been too busy liking cool things and being attractive — people threatened my life. You’re not really branding yourself in a way that makes me want to join your life-threatening club.”

Dumb joke or not, does she deserve all the death threats? No. Either way, she’s definitely reaping the benefits of all the publicity and seems to be handling the Twitter war quite well.

  • What do you think? Should she apologize for her comments? Do Star Wars fans need to tell the death threats people to back off?
