We’ve had fun with news anchors screwing up on live TV before, but sometimes those moments are just alarming – like when CNN reporter Poppy Harlow, who is pregnant, fainted in the middle of a broadcast earlier today.
“Bad news for the Obama administration,” she began her segment about the war on terror, looking a bit dazed, “we have this new CNN/ORC poll which is quite a turnaround…” before her words started slurring and she trailed off. The screen had changed to a graphic about the poll, so viewers couldn’t see what was wrong – they could only hear Harlow gasping for breath for a couple of seconds before the broadcast abruptly switched away.

Fortunately, she reappeared on screen a few moments later. “For all of you on Twitter who are asking if I’m okay, thank you so much,” she said. “I got a little hot and I passed out for a moment. I am fine, we’re going to take a quick break.”
She later went on Twitter herself to reassure people that she and her unborn baby have been checked out and are doing fine.
