Man Falls Down Elevator Shaft

I’m still trying to figure out what I just watched. This video was a little all over the place (there’s no audio), but I’m still pretty shocked. It’s not every day you see a man accidentally fall down an actual elevator shaft.

Like I mentioned before, the video has no audio since it was taken from the lobby’s security camera, but you can clearly watch the unidentified man stumble around the lobby only to physically kick down an elevator door. The craziest part is that he didn’t seem to realize that the elevator had not yet arrived before he stepped into the empty shaft.

Did he survive the fall? Fortunately, he did. Under further investigation, we learned that these events took place in China, where the man was drunk and angry after leaving a karaoke night to celebrate the Lunar New Year. After falling down the elevator shaft, he actually survived. Lucky for him, he was only four floors up.

Moral of the story: don’t go breaking down elevator doors (unless you can take a 50 foot fall like a champ).
